Dotted Carnation Red 100 seeds

Dotted carnation (Dianthus deltoides) with tiny carmine red flowers is an excellent proposition for rock gardens. A small perennial that can reach a height of 10-15 cm. It is vigorously bushy, forms long, creeping shoots decorated with narrow green leaves. This species will be perfect for planting the edges of flower beds, paths, walls and containers. In summer, the carpets are decorated with a mass of small flowers. The expressive carmine-red color of the flowers makes it one of the most attractive plants for dry and sunny beds.

It's easy to get it from seeds sown in the late spring. We sow the seeds of the cloves in boxes or on pallets or on a seedbed. At the end of summer, plant the seedlings at their destination, keeping the plants 10-15 cm apart. The dotted carnation does not have high requirements, it can be planted in less fertile and stony soils. It prefers permeable soil, moderately rich in nutrients and slightly calcareous. Feels best in a dry and sunny place.
