Kiwano is an annual plant from the gourd family with long, decaying shoots.
Forms oval fruit 10-15 cm long. Their weight is about 200-300 grams.
The interior of the fruit is filled with juicy pulp with a refreshing taste - perfectly suited to the preparation of salads and low-calorie desserts.
Seeds should be sown in pots in mid-April, while the seedling should be moved to permanent place in May.
Kiwano cultivation should take place under shelter. We can also try to place the plant in the ground, in which case we should wait with planting until the morning frosts cease, because kiwano does not tolerate negative temperatures and in the event of their occurrence, the development of the plant is immediately stopped. Kiwano is valued because of the fruit it produces - with their help we can create many interesting dishes, they are added to salads, fish and drinks, among others.
They do not require processing and it is possible to eat them raw.
In addition to being tasty, they can also be in the form of decorations.
It is influenced by their long life after collection, rooms enriched with these unique fruits will have an interesting decor for months.
The plant is not widely known, so if you want to stand out by growing unconventional species, Kiwano is perfect for that!
The package contains 0.2 grams of seeds.
