Mint Long-Leaved 100 Seeds
Long-leaved mint (Mentha longifolia) is a winter-hardy perennial growing up to 40-50 cm in height on average. Its usable part is mossy, dark green, lanceolate and long leaves with an unusually strong aroma. The smell is due to the high content of essential oil. For this reason, they are sometimes used for flavoring non-alcoholic beverages, drinks, producing liqueurs and brewing medicinal teas. We collect them before the plants bloom, because then they exhibit the best properties. Long-leaved mint can also be grown for spiky, pink inflorescences, which are very often flown by bees and other insects - it is a fantastic and efficient honey plant. Before sowing, the seeds are stored in a cold store for a week, e.g. in a refrigerator, and then sown directly into the ground (usually in May). After about 2 weeks, the young plants are interrupted so that they grow at a distance of 40 x 40 cm. Long-leaved mint blooms in late summer, so the leaves should be harvested from May to August.
The package contains 0.1 g of high-quality long-leaved mint seeds which is about 100 seeds.
