Tomato Tolek is a medium early variety, suitable for growing both in the ground and under shelter. It creates very large, juicy and aromatic fruit in red color, the skin of which easily peels off the flesh even without being scalded.

Height: high variety, reaching 200 cm in height
Form: the stem is branched, initially grows vertically, and when it reaches full height, it bends slightly.
Fruit: large (300 - 400 g), round, fleshy and juicy, covered with intensely red and smooth skin.
Date of sowing and harvesting: the seeds are sown from mid-March to the beginning of April in pots in the apartment. Pots should be placed in a bright and warm place. Seedling can be moved to a permanent place in the second half of May or at the beginning of June. The fruits ripen in August.

Growing conditions: humus, permeable, moist and slightly acidic soil is best for growing. During cultivation, plants require frequent fertilization, preferably with biohumus, or enrichment with compost. It is a variety intended for growing under shelter or in a field in warm and sheltered places. Due to the strong growth, the plants must be guided at the supports.
Frost resistance: the plant is very sensitive to low temperatures
Properties and application: Tomato is a vegetable with high dietary values. Its fruits contain large amounts of vitamins C, B1 and B2 as well as potassium, phosphorus and calcium. A valuable ingredient in tomato fruit is lycopene, which has strong anti-cancer properties. Eating tomatoes reduces the risk of atherosclerosis and promotes cardiovascular function. Tolek tomato fruit is a delicious addition to sandwiches and salads. They are also an excellent raw material for purees, pastes and juices.
