White Pampas Grass - 50 seeds
Pampas grass is one of the most beautiful ornamental grasses grown in our climate. Its fluffy, unusually impressive inflorescences appear at the end of summer or early autumn and are an interesting variety to garden compositions when most of the flowers are already blooming. The plant is characterized by long, narrow, green leaves hanging over the outside of the clump. Depending on the environmental conditions, the plant reaches 1-2 m in height and 1 m in width. Pampas grass shoots bloom in September and October. Pampas grass requires unrestricted exposure to sunlight. It prefers warm positions and moist, well-drained soils with a high content of nutrients. The substrate should not get wet during the winter. A distance of approx. 60-80 cm should be kept between individual specimens. Plants are not 100% resistant to Polish frosts. Pampas grass is used as solitaire in a representative part of the lawn. They also look very impressive when planted along the shore of a water reservoir or against the background of a perennial bed. In colder regions, pampas grass is grown in pots, dug into the ground in spring. The dried flowering shoots are used to make dry bouquets.
